The Papers Company

Moving freely,
moving forward.

Papers builds tools for one of the most consequential bureaucratic processes in modern life — crossing borders. We make it simpler, more accessible, and less opaque.

The problem

These systems were built for professionals. We built for everyone else.

U.S. immigration law assumes professional representation. A self-petitioner navigating employment-based immigration faces the same legal framework as a corporation — but without the attorneys, paralegals, or budget. Most people either pay $10–15K for representation or file without a real understanding of where their case actually stands.

The same problem runs through travel. Every international traveler — whether checking visa requirements for a weekend trip or tracking expiring documents for a family of four — works from scattered information, government PDFs, and guesswork. Institutional travelers have compliance teams. Everyone else improvises.

Papers exists to change that equation. AI makes serious legal and travel intelligence accessible at the individual level — not a watered-down version, but the same rigor applied by professionals, made available without the overhead.

Our approach to AI

Legal reasoning, not outcome matching.

Papers does not try to predict outcomes by finding patterns in past decisions. That approach produces output that looks right without being right — because law is adjudicated against legal standards, not by analogy to prior cases. Our AI reasons from primary legal sources, applies the controlling standard to your specific record, and is explicit about where the evidence falls short and why.

The same framework applies at every stage
